to Listen Workshop
Works are musically 'signposted' and discussed with
the children, enabling them to listen intelligently and understand,
without baffling technical information. Designed to advance
the childrens' ability to listen constructively to music.

Introducing very young children to the instruments and the
music at a basic and very enjoyable level.

Belinda
is a member of the LSO's Discovery team leading classroom
workshops in performance and composition. She has given workshops
throughout the UK, in USA and Australia. Whilst in Australia
she tutored for the National Music Camp Association and was
String Tutor at the Sydney Conservatorium High School, coaching
and conducting their chamber ensembles and string orchestra.
Matthew
is involved with the BBC Concert orchestra's education
program, introducing classical music to hundreds of schoolchildren,
and has been tutor to the Exeter University Orchestra. He
has also taught at the Royal College of Music Junior department.
Victor
is currently Visiting Lecturer in Piano at the Birmingham
Conservatoire and St. Edward's School, Oxford. In the
past he has been a Visiting Lecturer at the Royal Scottish
Academy of Music and Drama and at the Colchester Institute.
He is also an Examiner for the Associated Board and has been
artist-in-residence on a number of occasions at the
Western Australian Conservatorium of Music. He regularly adjudicates
and gives public Masterclasses. He also has a private teaching
practice in London teaching pupils from age 6 to 60!
